AmicsUAB is a non-profit organization linked to the UAB, which works to strengthen the relationship between the university and society. Since its foundation in 1982, its objective has been to be a meeting place for the university community and all those interested in knowledge, culture and debate.
The association is made up of professionals and members of society who wish to collaborate with the UAB. It is a space open to all those who want to be part of an active and committed community.
Our Mission
AmicsUAB's main mission is to connect the university with society. Through various cultural, social and training activities, it seeks to create a meeting place where knowledge, cooperation and debate contribute to individual and collective development.
We work to ensure that the UAB goes beyond the classroom and reaches a wider audience, promoting dialogue and social commitment.
Our Objectives
Disseminate knowledge: Promote and make accessible the knowledge generated at the UAB to society, through conferences, workshops and cultural events.
Create community: Encourage interaction between members of the UAB and other social agents, generating opportunities for networking, collaboration and professional development.
Promote university values: Promote cooperation, solidarity and social responsibility, linking UAB members with social and volunteer projects.
Promote culture and debate: Organize activities that stimulate reflection and debate on current issues that affect society, from a critical and informed perspective.
Support professional development: Offer access to continuing education programs and improvement activities to keep members of the association up-to-date and prepared in their fields of specialization.
