AmicsUAB Awards

Every year, since 2002, we have celebrated the AmicsUAB Awards at the Sant Pau Hospital Casa de Convalescència with an awards ceremony where the entire university community, authorities and friends are invited.

In this annual event, we present the Amic dels Amics Awards and the Col·lectiu UAB Award, recognizing outstanding people and entities for their contribution in the fields of academic research, health, research, communication and the defense of values social and cultural. We will also be awarding the Massana Award from 2024, which chooses the representative work of art at each year's awards ceremony.

NEXE AmicsUAB

It is a project that seeks to bring the knowledge generated at the university closer to society. With synergies with various councils and entities, NEXE AmicsUAB offers conferences and presentations, all over the territory, with the help of different UAB research groups and professors from our university.

Festa del Solstici

We have recovered the Solstice Festival that our organization had promoted years ago in order to celebrate the end of the academic year and the beginning of summer. This Party is held in the privileged surroundings of our headquarters in the Torre Vila-Puig on the UAB Campus and is a moment of meeting and enjoyment for our members and supporters.

Visits

• Cultural outings: visits to different spaces related to our culture.
• Outings around UAB: visits to different areas of the Campus and UAB facilities.
• Business outings: visits to different companies and public facilities that may be of interest to business novices.

Networking

We believe in the importance of creating meaningful professional connections. Activities such as business dinners, afterworks and professional meetings are organized, where you can share an evening with professionals from various sectors. While enjoying a good meal or after-work drinks, you can discuss current issues and explore industry trends. These events are an ideal time to network, exchange ideas and experiences, and open doors to new opportunities.


Knowledge Capsules

We record very specific Knowledge Capsules around topics of interest, generated from the current landscape or from different investigations carried out by the UAB research groups. All the capsules are available on this website and on our YouTube channel.


Newsletter

We publish a monthly Newsletter with all the activities we have done and news that I have generated during the month which, in addition, includes a section on "The Member's Voice", cultural and literary recommendations, and other information of interest . The next AmicsUAB agenda is also shared there.

We also publish special newsletters about our Solstice Party, the AmicsUAB Awards and other important moments of the year such as Sant Jordi's Day.
