We kick off the Quàntica@SBD series, an initiative by the Bosch i Cardellach Foundation in collaboration with the Association of Friends of UAB, which will bring quantum science and technology experts to Sabadell throughout the year.
This first session, titled "From the transistor to the qubit: a story full of quantum physics", will take place at the Foundation’s headquarters (Carrer d’en Font, 1, Sabadell) and will feature two speakers from Sabadell: Francesc Serra and Francesc Pérez, microelectronics experts from the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC).
They will discuss how quantum physics has transformed electronics, from the invention of the transistor to current systems based on qubits. An opportunity to discover how this revolution affects our daily lives and where it is leading us in the future.
The event is free and open to the public, with limited seating.
