Homelessness: Challenges of the Present and Future - Fundació Bosch i Cardellach

Led by Jordi Sànchez, Director of Social Rights at the Ombudsman of Catalonia.

On January 25, 2025, a bill was presented in the Parliament of Catalonia to address homelessness and the situation of people living on the streets, staying in shelters, or temporarily housed in facilities. The goal was to shift from an assistance-based approach to legal protection of subjective rights.

In October, the Bosch i Cardellach Foundation provided a platform for social organizations, people experiencing homelessness, and those involved in drafting the law. Now, in the context of this new proposal, the Foundation aims to delve deeper into the importance of its approval, the opportunities and possibilities it presents, as well as the challenges it may entail.

To discuss these issues, the event will feature Jordi Sànchez, Director of Social Rights at the Ombudsman of Catalonia.
