On 19 November at 7 pm, we'll be gathering at the Casa de Convalescència, part of Barcelona's Hospital de Sant Pau, for the 24th AmicsUAB Awards. It's one of the highlights of our year, bringing together the university community and wider civil society to celebrate people, groups and initiatives that have made a real difference in academic, social and cultural life.
The ceremony will be hosted by journalist Anna Garnatxe, who presents TV3's lunchtime news and teaches at the UAB. She'll be joined on stage by UAB Rector Javier Lafuente, Board of Trustees President Tània Nadal and AmicsUAB President Susanna Baqué.
Over the next few days, we'll be announcing this year's winners and sharing the stories behind each award.
The night will end on a musical note with the Cor de la UAB, followed by a standing dinner.
