A Coffee with Law": A New Conference Series at the Ateneu Barcelonès

The Ateneu Barcelonès will host a new conference series titled "A Coffee with Law", an initiative that encourages reflection on current issues through an academic perspective. These sessions will be led by lecturers in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and will take place on various dates during the months of April, May, and June.

This series will provide a unique opportunity to explore legal and social issues in a relaxed and engaging environment. In each session, attendees will enjoy a specialized lecture accompanied by a coffee, fostering debate and interaction between the speaker and the audience.

The scheduled conferences are as follows:

  • April 4 – Dr. Zuley Fernández: "Taxation of Entrepreneurship. Special Reference to Business Models Based on Content Creation and Streaming."
  • April 25 – Dr. Montserrat Sole-Truyols: "Current Working Conditions: How Do They Affect Present and Future Pensions?"

  • May 23 – Dr. Laura Capuccio: "Decree-Laws: Governing by Shortcut or by Necessity?"
  • May 30 – Dr. Mónica Perna: "The Protection of Consumer Rights in the Digital Era. Are There Limits to Contractual Abuse?"
  • June 6 – Dr. Stefania Giombini: "Without Law, There Is No Society: A Journey into Ancient Law."
