On April 22, AmicsUAB organized the conference “Montserrat 1000 Years: Let’s Celebrate!”, delivered by Lluís Baulenas, Commissioner of the Montserrat Millennium, at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law.
Lluís Baulenas moved the audience with a reflection on the significance of Montserrat for Catalonia, both historically and culturally. He emphasized how the monastery represents a symbol of our collective identity.
The event was introduced by Susanna Baqué, president of AmicsUAB, and closed by the Rector of the UAB, Javier Lafuente, who highlighted the importance of Montserrat and encouraged all attendees to visit the monastery, underlining its cultural and spiritual significance for Catalonia.
With this event, AmicsUAB contributed to the commemoration of Montserrat's 1000th anniversary, a truly emblematic site in our history and culture.
