Amics UAB invites Yolanda Blanch to lead an event addressing questions about pension plans
Amics UAB has invited Yolanda Blanch Ruiz, Chair of the Control Committee of CaixaBank’s Employment Pension Funds, to give a lecture entitled “Pension Plans: Benefits, Drawbacks and Misconceptions.” The event will take place on 1 October at the Torre Vila-Puig at UAB, where Blanch will address questions about pension plans and the resources currently available to better understand this financial instrument.
The “Sopars entre amics” (Dinners Among Friends) events are an initiative that Amics UAB has been organising for several years. The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. After a welcome to attendees, Yolanda will share her knowledge and experience regarding the economic aspects of pensions. Once the talk has concluded, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, which Yolanda herself will answer. The event will conclude with a standing cocktail reception, where participants will also have the opportunity to continue the conversation and discuss any remaining questions.
Yolanda Blanch holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona, but her academic background extends further. She also holds a diploma in Business Studies from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), as well as several qualifications related to executive coaching. In 2021, she began working at CaixaBank as Vice Chairperson of PC30 and is currently Chair of its Employment Pension Fund Control Committee. She is active on LinkedIn and also has profiles on Instagram and Facebook, where she shares knowledge related to economics and psychology, as well as book recommendations.
The lecture will explore what is currently known about pensions, how pension plans can contribute to future financial planning, their advantages and their limitations.
