The Associació AmicsUAB and the Escola Massana are joining forces again to give continuity to the Premi Massana - AmicsUAB, which this year celebrates its third edition. The call is already open and aims to choose the work that will be used as a gift piece for the winners of the AmicsUAB 2026 Awards, which reach its 24th edition.
In 2025, Zoe Riestra Ruiz won the first prize with Geometria de l'aprenentatge. With this work, inspired by the Bauhaus style, she spoke about diversity within the university, a place where very different people can share knowledge, ideas and ways of seeing the world.
This year’s call is open to students and alumni of the Escola Massana. The submission period is from 1 May to 15 July.
The winning work will be reproduced in a limited and signed series, which will be presented as a gift to the winners of the 2026 AmicsUAB Awards. In addition, the winning artist will have the opportunity to present his/her work personally during the awards ceremony , which will be held on Thursday, November 19 at the Convalescence House of the Hospital de Santo Pablo.
With this initiative, AmicsUAB and the Escola Massana want to reinforce the link between the university world and the artistic world, offering recognition to contemporary creation and encouraging the diffusion of new plastic languages.
