The Catalunya Ràdio programme, directed and presented by journalist Montse Virgili, will receive the UAB Collective Award in recognition of its contribution to raising the visibility of women and their contributions to society.
Les dones i els dies began its 2019–2020 season with a clear mission: to bring to the airwaves a demand that had long been voiced in the streets — that women have historically been rendered invisible.
With a critical, rigorous and committed approach, the programme recovers stories that have often been silenced, gives voice to diverse experiences and challenges traditional narratives that have overlooked women’s roles in culture, science, history and everyday life.
The award recognises the programme’s educational and outreach work, as well as its commitment to gender equality and to a form of journalism that contributes to social change.
For all these reasons, this year we are proud to recognise the team behind Les dones i els dies with the UAB Collective Award.
