On Friday, February 23, the first meeting of the renewed FriendsUAB Advisory Council took place at the Vila-Puig Tower in Bellaterra. Prominent figures such as president Susanna Baqué, Joan Lluís Pérez Francesch, Josep Maria Milà, Rosa Carrió, Ramón Pascual, Gabriel Izard, Lluís Bogunyà, and Gemma Ruiz, as executive secretary, gathered to redefine the association's direction.

With the adoption of new bylaws in 2023, the goal is to revitalize the council and explore new forms of collaboration. Key topics such as the council’s autonomy, the frequency of meetings, and the formulation of an internal regulations policy were discussed.
Susanna Baqué emphasized the importance of the advisory council’s role in the smooth functioning of FriendsUAB. The association's secretary, Pérez Francesch, highlighted the importance of active participation and announced that part of the advisory council will be appointed by the general assembly of members at the end of May.
The meeting concluded with the determination to reactivate FriendsUAB's presence in society and strengthen its ties with various institutions and communities, with a renewed focus on collaboration and positive impact on the university community and beyond.
