Technology Transfer: From Mobile World Capital to Ports of the State

AllRead announces the new innovation program "The Collider," launched on March 15, by Mobile World Capital Barcelona. It has been awarded by Ports of the State thanks to the software they use, which streamlines the traceability of goods transported by rail. Through a process called Deep Learning, it will be developed and tested at various ports and port terminals in Spain.

Mobile World Capital Barcelona will be the venue this week for the event where the launch of the new project for Ports of the State called "Disruption of OCR Portuan" will take place. The Catalan Artificial Intelligence tech startup, AllRead, developed the project that originated from the Computer Vision Center of Catalonia at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the technology transfer program The Collider. It is a project that aims to bring effective solutions to the market to solve industry and societal problems.

The meeting was attended by Óscar Sala, director of The Collider; José Llorca, Head of Innovation at Ports of the State, and representatives from the ports and terminals that have supported the proposal, such as Port of Barcelona, Port of Algeciras, Zaragoza Maritime Terminal Services, APM Terminals Spanish Gateways, and Hutchison Ports BEST.

They all agree that this innovation will revolutionize the port sector and the entire logistics chain in terms of reducing delays in transportation, economic costs, reducing CO2 emissions, and providing more security and control over the traceability of goods and cargo containers in rail transport, streamlining the entire process.
