The "II Cicle Un Cafè de Dret" held a new session yesterday at the headquarters of the Bosch i Cardellach Foundation in Sabadell, under the title “Freedom of expression and information on social media: possible criminal limits”.
The session was led by Dr. Antoni Cardona and Dr. Joan Baucells, professors of Criminal Law at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and was moderated by Joan Lluís Pérez Francesch, professor and secretary of AmicsUAB. During the event, the speakers analysed the legal challenges posed by the exercise of freedom of expression and information in the digital environment, particularly in relation to the possible criminal limits on the use of social media.
The event featured active audience participation, with numerous questions that contributed to a very enriching debate. Around fifteen people attended, including five Law students.
The next session of the series will take place on 4 June at 6:30 p.m., under the title “The prior hearing in disciplinary proceedings: case law keys and a comparative perspective”. It will be led by Dr Jessica Romero and Dr Matteo Avogaro, professors of Labour and Social Security Law at the UAB.

With this session, the series continues to establish itself as a meeting point between academia and society, with the aim of bringing legal knowledge closer to the public and encouraging debate on current issues.
