On April 6, 7, and 8, a series of activities will be held on the UAB campus to promote emotional well-being and mental health.
Yesterday, the second edition of the Interuniversity Healthy Week of Catalonia began, with the "Art Therapy" activity at the University of Barcelona, aimed at recovering personal well-being. Additionally, two more events took place at the campuses of the Pompeu Fabra University and the Open University of Catalonia, where topics such as eating disorders from within and the prevention of emotional distress and management of persistent pain in the university community were discussed.
For today, Thursday, April 7, three activities are scheduled. The first, "Guardians of Mental Health", will take place at the University of Girona at 10 a.m. Its goal is to promote suicide prevention among young people. Then, at 11 a.m., the "Kundalini Yoga Session" will be held at the Rovira and Virgili University to create a space of tranquility and inner peace. Finally, to close today’s events, the activity "Time Management Techniques" will take place at 12 p.m. at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, with the main objective of taking care of emotional well-being. Don’t miss them!
To conclude the week, on Friday, April 8, two activities are planned. At 12 p.m., you can enjoy "The Woman from the Third Floor", performed by Àurea Màrquez (coordinated by the Autonomous University of Barcelona) at the UAB Theater Hall. It addresses the stigma of mental illnesses through a monologue. Registration for this event is still open and can be found via this form. If you are unable to attend in person, it will also be available online.
Finally, at 1 p.m., a roundtable discussion will be held to talk about general aspects of mental health and the resources universities offer to promote it. This activity, organized by the Us.Cat Network, will be broadcast live at the UAB Rector’s Office Auditorium.
It is important to note that all activities will be streamed live through the network’s YouTube channel, and the activities taking place at the UAB will also be in-person.
